In order to severely crack down on the illegal and criminal acts of obtainment and disclosure of personal information, Amendment 7 to the Criminal Law adds the relevant rule, “A person of a state organ, financial service, telecommunication, transportation, education, health care and other unit who disobey the rule to sale or offer the personal information to others , which is obtained by means of performing duties or providing services, shall be sentenced to fixed-term imprisonment of not more than three years or criminal detention and concurrently to a fine of tax payable depending on the seriousness of the circumstances .”
According to the Amendment, The family members of the public servant In-service or demission by taking advantage of his force of post or position shall be dealt with as acceptance of bribes and held criminal responsibility. (Mar 27th 2009)
