Mustard Seed Mobile Library is a charitable and not-for-profit project initiated by RayYin& Partners and some local residents of Beijing.

As China's urbanization quickens its pace, a growing number of village couples head to the cities in search of work and are thus forced to leave their children behind. The number of these left-behind childrenliving with their grandparents or other relatives is currently estimated at 60 million nationwide, according to a report published by the All-China Women's Federation (CWF). These children often face stark psychological and emotional problems as well as challenges to their personal safety and well-being, because their grandparents or other relatives have no capability and time to take care of them.

Mustard Seed Mobile Library establishes the sample library near the primary schools in some undeveloped villages, which offersbeautifully-printed books and free cartoon movies suitable for children. With theassistance of local volunteers, the library is open to local children every Saturday, where the children can watch the carton movies, read and borrow the books with great fun.

“The kingdom of heaven is like a mustard seed, which a man took and planted in his field.Though it is the smallest of all seeds, yet when it grows, it is the largest of garden plants and becomes a tree, so that the birds come and perch in its branches.”Matthew 13:31-32
